Defensive Pistol Refresher Course
The Whittington U’s Defensive Pistol Refresher Course is for previous Whittington U students who have attended at least Defensive Pistol Level I in the past. The Refresher Course is intended to refresh the knowledge & skills learned at the Defensive Pistol Level I Course and prepare students to progress into the next level in the progressive curriculum. These techniques are applied throughout all levels of the Defensive Pistol courses. The Refresher Course will be only ½ day in length. The Whittington U Defensive Pistol series focuses on the use of a firearm as a Means of Last Resort, with the defense of ourselves and our loved ones as part of an overall lifestyle change.
Course Syllabus
Defensive Pistol Refresher will cover:
- 4 Fundamentals of Defensive Marksmanship
- 3-Position Presentation Technique
- Static Fire Drills
- Principles of Cover (PoC)
- PoC Movement Drills on a Reactive Fire Range

Notes
- This is a progressive curriculum. We require students to take the courses in succession: Defensive Pistol I – Defensive Pistol II – Defensive Pistol III – Defensive Pistol Masters
- The Defensive Pistol Refresher Course is for Any previous Whittington U student who has taken at least Defensive Pistol I and successfully completed it
- Course participants may also purchase an ammunition package with the appropriate round count. (Call to check availability of Ammunition Packages)
- AMMUNITION PACKAGE IS RESTRICTED TO ONE PER PERSON PER COURSE.

All guests, visitors, spectators, and competitors aged 18 and older must complete and sign the online waiver before entering the NRA Whittington Center. For those under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the form on their behalf.
Waivers are required once per calendar year, starting on or after January 1st.
