Shaheen Sawaya, a lifelong resident of Raton, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2026. He was born on August 24, 1937, to William Sawaya and Josephine Velasquez Sawaya in Raton, NM.
He is survived by Marthe Sawaya, daughter, Shanna Fulton (Jeff), son. Mark Sawaya (Laura). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. RJ Fulton (Kirsten) Brenden Fulton, Jilliyn Fulton, Courtney Sawaya and Kylee Sawaya. Brothers, Jehmiel Sawaya (Rhonda) Michael Sawaya (Frances) sister Mary jo Martinez, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held this summer . Arrangements are entrusted to Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral home.
