   January 2, 1922 – March 29, 2022
Vicentita  “Vee”  Duran gained her angel wings on March 29, 2022, surrounded by family at the age of 100. She was born to Mauricio and Vicenta (Romero)  Duran on January 2, 1922, in Aguilar Colorado.
Vee was a devoted Catholic her whole life and looked forward to her host every Wednesday morning by her dear friend Maryanne Kaessner.
Vee Worked several years in a greenhouse in Denver, she missed her home, returned, and ran a small candy store from her home before going to work as the seamstress at Mount San Raphael hospital for 18 years.
She was an excellent seamstress and made most of her own clothes and Coats. Vee designed and made her sister Josephine’s wedding dress as well as her niece Cecilia’s wedding gown.
Vee loved working in her yard landscaping, planting flowers, and tending to her favorite trees.
She was a hard-working woman and had many skills. She would repair things in her home, reupholstered her furniture to building her own carport.
Vee loves to watch her westerns, especially her favorites Gunsmoke and the Virginian.
Her memory was great and she loved reminiscing about spending time with her “mama” and family.
She still cooked, cleaned, went shopping, and even moved furniture well into her nineties.
Preceding Vee in death are her parents, brothers John, Jake, Arthur, Max, and Albert Duran, sister Josephine (Duran) Vigil, and their spouses and special sister-in-law Tina Duran, also many nephews and nieces who were dear to her.
Survived by brother Morris Duran, niece Berta (Ray) Garcia (who was her loving caretaker), and family, Mary Jane Long and family.
Nephew’s Dennis Carla Vigil and family Albi Duran and family and Tony Duran.  Along with several cousins.

Special great-niece Tracy Sanchez also helped take care of her and 5 generations of nephews and nieces.

Loving and losing a loved one is hard. Knowing Aunt Vee departed this earth as heaven gained another angel, with her mama (who she adored) awaiting and wrapping her angel wings around her.
