Raton hosted the Lady Red Devils from Springer Saturday evening in Tiger Gym where the Lady Red Devils came to play to show Raton why they are at 9-1 over all coming into the match.
Game one saw Springer take the lead and keep it all the way to the finish as Raton seemed to struggle at the net and in the back court with hits going awry and giving Springer the points.
Game two was another big disappointment for Raton after they tied the game at five only to see Springer pull away taking a 16-9 lead. Raton however didn’t give up and came to within four at the finish of the game 25-21.
Game three was the one that looked good for Raton as they took the early lead but let Springer come back and tie at five. Raton then pulled ahead with good play at the net and from the back court line. Springer battled back and tied the game at 18. From there it was a battle as the game was tied several times all the way up to 27. Springer then got a break and took the lead and Valeria Balderama put it away with a slam past Addison Medina for the final point and the 29-27 win to take the match in three.
