The Jim Toupal court in Scott Gym on the Trinidad State College Campus once again saw high school basketball action after a two year pandemic hiatus with the 85th TSC Invitational Tourney held Wednesday December 1st through Saturday December 4th.
The tourney was held without fans in the stands, however, the teams supported each other with a cheering squad. During the two championship games the gym was alive with cheers from the non playing teams that were still in the stands supporting their teams on the court.
Both championship games were exactly that, with the scores staying close and ending with only a three point deficit in the girl’s game between Kim and Hoehne. In the boys game it was La Junta taking the led and Springer battling back to take the lead and the win in the fourth quarter with a 64-56 score.
