It was a very physical game in Springer Friday night in the Girls district 1A championship game.
Cordy Tafoya left the game in the second quarter after her and Jessica Pittman wrestled for a tie ball, Tafoya found herself on the floor hitting her head as she came down.
As the game drew to a close if became a back and forth battle with each team tying the game. There were several lead changes in the third and fourth quarters. When the buzzer sounded it was a 48 48 game.
The four minute overtime period started and with about two minutes left Springer took the lead and managed to keep that lead to the buzzer.
