It was a cold blustery afternoon at Gabriele Field on April 24th as Raton hosted Trinidad for a single game that went the distance and put a mark in the win column for Raton.
Under partly cloudy skies the sun came and went as did the runs for Raton and not so much for Trinidad as they only managed to put one run on the board in the second inning. Trinidad’s Jeremiah Montoya was the only one to make it around the bases as Raton’s Richie Gonzales struck out five batters during the game. Twice Trinidad left runners on the bases for scoreless innings.
Raton also left runners on the bases but still managed to score five runs of which three came in the sixth inning for the win. Richie Gonzales was credited with the win while Patrick Sandoval takes the loss.
