While Raton had beat Pecos earlier in the season Pecos improved and showed why they ended up seeded higher than Raton.

Pecos came in and scored in every inning except the fifth after Raton scored their first run of the game. Each team scored in the sixth and Pecos held off Raton in the seventh for the 10-2 win.

Pecos pitcher Arturo Archuleta went the distance while Raton went through three pitchers, Jonathan Cabrieles, Cole Medina and Richie Gonzales.
