Nancy Elizabeth Porterfield, 52, went to be with our Lord Tuesday Jan 21 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Trinidad CO Dec 10 1961 to Maxine and Jack Porterfield. Best known as “The Karaoke Lady” she ran “Nancy’s Karaoke” and “Moonlighting: a one woman band” from 1997 to 2006.
She is preceded in death by her parents Maxine Denham and Jack Porterfield and step-father Charles Denham.
She is survived by daughter Jessie Gomez, husband Chicky Lee and grandson on the way; Sister Ruth Gutierrez and husband Max; Brother John Porterfield and wife Cherie, neices Jamie Vasquez, Mykaela Sandoval and Madison Valdez, nephews Ryan Gutierrez, Jack Porterfield Gabriel Sandoval and Jason Cardenas, along with other family.
A vigil and rosary will be held at St Patrick- St Joseph Church in Raton NM Friday March 14 2014 and a memorial Mass celebrated by Fr John Trambley on Saturday March 15 2014 at 10 AM with a reception at the parish hall to follow.
