Former Raton resident William J Carroll died unexpectedly at his home in McKinleyville CA on Jan 27, 2014. He was born to Charles and Caroline Carroll on Aug 26 1915 in San Francisco CA.
Bill was an intelligent, charismatic, mercurial and independent man. He accomplished many things in his 98 years.
He is predeceased by his brother Jimmy Pratt- well known Big Band, Swing and Jass drummer and his sister Magaret Ann Lomax Bragdon of Escondido CA.
Mr Carroll is survived by daughters Jeanne Collette (Raymond) of Orland CA, Sue Zenn Carroll and Kim Kirchoff (Paul) of Washington, four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
