In Memory of Ann Marie Salbato-Large

Ann Salbato-Large, age 84, passed away February 18, 2014, at the Trinidad Inn Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born March 12, 1929 to Ignacio and Domenica Febbraro, the youngest of 10 children. Ann attended Aguilar High School and Trinidad State Junior College. She began her administrative career at Gambles Department Store, and then spent many years as a court reporter for the District Court, and later retired from Trinidad State Junior College. Ann married Albert Salbato in June, 1948, and they were blessed with over 50 years of marriage. Together, they enjoyed going to the horse races, traveling, and gatherings with family and friends. Ann later married Willard Large and spent her golden years enjoying life with her loved ones. 

  She is preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Salbato, infant daughter Salbato, parents, Ignacio and Domenica Febbraro, father and mother-in-law Jim and Rose Salbato, brothers Joe, Nick, Charlie and little Joe Febbraro, sisters Lilly Frenchmore, Patty Novara and little Mary Febbraro. She is also predeceased by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and special niece Joanne Kruitz. 

 She is survived by her husband Willard Large of Trinidad CO, stepsons Stan Large and Doug Large.  She is also survived by sisters Angie Sciacca of Ludlow, CO and Lena Sciacca of Aguilar, CO, numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and special friends 

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Comi Funeral Home Chapel.The Rosary will be Wednesday, February 26, 9 A.M., at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with interment at Trinidad CatholicCemetery.
