In Memory of Frank A. Coke Jr

Frank A. Coke Jr., longtime  businessman, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the age of 72.
He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on April 24, 1941, to Sarah(Niccoli) and Frank Coke Sr.
He was a lifelong resident of Trinidad and attended Trinidad area schools, graduating from Trinidad High School in 1959.  He attended Trinidad State Junior College and Parks School of Business in Denver, Colorado.
He was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Mariano on December 26, 1961 in Trinidad, Colorado.  In 1962, he entered into a business partnership with his father Frank Coke Sr., becoming an owner and operator of a gasoline and oil distributorship , at which time he expanded the business by adding a towing and wrecker service along with other business interests.
Frank was a very kind, gentle , witty person, and a loving, supportive and caring husband.
He was an avid Denver Bronco fan, a World War II history enthusiast and had a deep interest in old cars and classic cars.  For many years he was very active in politics.  In his retirement years,, he enjoyed watching all of the old Western series and movie classics, as well as the history and military channels.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, honorary member of the County Sheriffs of Colorado, and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Sarah Coke Sr., aunt and uncle Madeline and Albert Petramala and sister in law Frances Howard,
He is survived by loving wife, Gloria, of 52 years, nephews and niece, Rick (Marci) Stathis, Lakewood, CO., David (Pam) Stathis, Thornton, CO, Douglas Howard, Pueblo, CO, and Michelle Howard (Kathy Johnson), Pueblo, CO, brother in law Dewayne Howard, Trinidad and numerous  cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00PM-6:00PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Thursday February 20, 2015 at 7;00PM at Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Dewayne Howard, Dan Marques, Don Smith, Del Padilla, Eugene Lujan and Dave Shier.
Active pallbearers are Rick Stathis, David Stathis, Douglas Howard, Daniel Stathis, Thomas Stathis and Dennis Monarco.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that contributions be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice Care, TSJC Educational Foundation or the Restoration Fund of Holy Trinity Church.
