In Memory of Mary Archuleta

Mary Archuleta’s journey in this world is now complete. The Lord only allows us to borrow his strongest angels for a short time, until he needs them back to help rule the heavens. She was called home early Friday morning on January 10, 2014 (the birthday of her first-born child). She has now joined many loved ones who preceded her in death including her parents, Adelaida Ortega and Agapito Romero; her brother Lupe Ortega; sister Albinita Romero; sister-in-law Marti Romero; special cousins Lydia Tafoya, Ernie Martinez, Desi Martinez; her beloved nephew Tony Ortega; and beloved friend Jennie Salazar; among others. Mary’s faith carried her and her children through many challenges, adversity and experiences with an attitude that God will provide. She accepted their circumstances with an adventurous spirit all the while recognizing that there were others who had it worse, but always hopeful for a better day to come. Many lives were enriched by her unconditional love, selflessness, generosity, ingenuity and indulgent personality. We are all a little less without her in our lives. Mary is survived by her brother, Danny Romero; her children: Albert Edward Archuleta, Patricia Marie (Archuleta) Guenther married to Rodney, Albinita Maria (Romero) Nelson, Lori Ann (Romero) Griego married to Michael, Christopher James Romero; grandchildren: Travis Lee Nelson, Cassandra Adelaida Brown, Michael Lawrence Griego II married to Hope, Megan Leann Nelson, Rebecca Endurance Archuleta, Alyssa Nicole Romero and Alex Kenneth Romero; great-grandchildren: Alexis May Nelson and Jayce Grey Griego; special “adopted” grandchildren: Angelina Sepulveda, Samantha Borunda married to Adrian and their children Jeremiah and Kayleigh; God-daughter Bertha Martinez; daughter-in-law Gina Romero and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and loved ones.
