In Memory of Alex J Garcia

Alex J. Garcia, 68, of  Denver, Co., passed away December 10, 2013 after an aggressive battle with lung cancer.
He was born to the late Carolina and Jay Garcia, on April 14, 1945 in Trinidad, CO.
He was married to wife Erleen in March of 1963.
They enjoyed 50 yeas of marriage.
Alex enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He also loved spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He worked 28 years as a coal miner for the CF&I and Wyoming Fuel  companies.
Alex lived in Weston, Colorado most of his life.
In 1996 he moved to Denver, Colorado.
Alex is preceded in death by mother Carolina Garcia, father Jay M. Garcia , brothers Alfred Garcia, Claude (Maryann) Garcia, sister Elizabeth Aragon and brother in law Marty Torres.
Her is survived by his loving wife Erleen Garcia, four children, Jay (Vicki) Garcia, Trinidad, CO., David Garcia, Weston, Co., Gaylene (Rodd) Granger, Westminster, CO., Brian (Melissa) Garcia, Salida, CO. six grandchildren, Al ((Charessa) Benavidez, Pueblo, Co., Jayme Garcia (Gabriel Maez) , Trinidad, CO., Hunter and Connor Garcia Salida, CO., Rowan and Delaney Granger Westminster, CO.  six great grandchildren, siblings Rachael Torres, Weston, CO., Patricia (Harvey) Duran, Vellejo CA., Robert Garcia, Weston CO., sister in law Martha Garcia, Pueblo, CO.  brother in law Richard Aragon Co. Springs, CO., numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00PM-6:00PM at the Comi Chapel
Rosary will be Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 7:00PM at Holy Trinity Church
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow at the Weston Cemetery, Weston, CO.
Honorary pallbearers are A.J. Benavidez, Hunter Garcia, Connor Garcia, A.J. Benavidez Jr. and Gabriel Maez.
Active pallbearers are Daniel Duran, Jake Duran, Tony Garcia, Marty Garcia, Eddie Gomez, and Paul Ackerman.
