In Memory of Erminia “Erma” Mondragon

Erminia “Erma” Mondragon passed away on November 28, 2013 in Pueblo. She was 88. She was born in Valdez, CO on August 30, 1925 to Emelia (Trujillo) and Samuel Montoya.  Erma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

Preceding her in death are her parents Emelia and Samuel Montoya, her husband Joe G. Mondragon, daughter Erma Jean Mondragon, and grandson Victor “Bubba” Amaro, sisters Clara Griego, Katherine Chavez, and brothers Gerald, Sam, Jimmy, Val and Pete Montoya. 

Survivors are children George V. Mondragon, Segundo, CO, Buddy (Kathy) Mondragon, CO Springs, CO, Sharon Mondragon, Pueblo, CO, Richard (Mika) Mondragon, CO Springs, CO, Joanne (Joe) Jasso, Fountain, CO, Mary Jo (John) O’Neal, Dodge City, KS and Gerald Mondragon, Weston, CO; sisters Irene (Max) Trujillo, CO Springs, CO, Elva (Henry) Chavez, Denver, CO and brother George Montoya, Trinidad, CO, 24 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren and brother-in-law Paul (Shirley) Mondragon of Arizona, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.   

Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 3:00 -7:00 pm at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 9:00 am at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.  Honorary Pallbearers are great-grandsons Christopher Garcia and Geoffrey Mondragon. Active Pallbearers are grandsons Chad Mondragon, Erik Mondragon, Stephen Padilla, David Amaro, Clinton O’Neal and Travis O’Neal-Holder.  Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
