In Memory of Carlos Sandoval

, AGE 64, DIED Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home in Clayton, New Mexico.

 

SERVICES: Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Clayton Gospel Church in Clayton with Pastor Mike Phipps officiating. BACKGROUND: Carlos Sandoval was born on June 19, 1949 in Roy, New Mexico to Arturo L. Sandoval and Fugelma Willie (Trujillo) Sandoval. He attended school at St. George Catholic School in Roy through the 8th grade where he was an alter boy and played basketball. Carlos worked for T. E. Mitchell in Albert, New Mexico as a cowboy from age 15-19. He married Sharon (Esquibel) Sandoval on January 18, 1969 in Roy. In November of 69, they moved to Raton where Carlos was a sheet metal apprentice for 18 months before moving to Albuquerque where he continued the same line of work. In 1973 they moved to Texline, Texas and Carlos was a grain elevator foreman until 1997 when he went to work for Texline as the waste water supervisor. In 2000 they moved to Clayton where he was the waste water supervisor for the Town of Clayton. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents.

WIFE: Sharon Sandoval of Clayton, New Mexico.

 

1 DAUGHTER: Shannon Ronquillo and her husband Nick of Clayton, New Mexico.

 

1 SON: Richard Sandoval and his wife Anita of Clayton, New Mexico.

 

6 GRANDCHILDREN: Robyn Robinson and her husband Brynie of Silverton, Oregon,  Kathleen Sandoval, Mercedes Sandoval, Anastasia Ronquillo, Carlos Ray Christie and Adrianno Sandoval all of Clayton, New Mexico.

 

4 SISTERS: Sallie Sandoval and Mary Blan and her husband Joe of Clayton, New Mexico, Faye Sandoval of Amarillo, Texas and Toni Martinez and her husband Orlando of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 

4 BROTHERS: Joey Sandoval and Joe Trujillo of Clayton, New Mexico, Arthur Sandoval of Cimarron, New Mexico and Pete Quintana of Roy, New Mexico.

 

2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Carolyn Baca and her husband Gilbert and Nancy Valdez all of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
