James Gordon (Jim) Haugh, formerly of Raton, passed from this life into his eternal rest and into the arms of his savior on February 26, 2026.
A memorial service has been set for Tuesday, April 21 at 11 a.m at Calvary Baptist Church in Raton with Rev. Ed Burkle officiating. Lunchon to follow after service.
James was born on July 14, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming and at the age of 8, James was adopted by his loving parents Clinton E. Haugh and Marjorie A. Haugh. James grew up with his mom and dad in Manitou Springs Co and graduated from Manitou Springs High School in 1969. He also served in the U.S. Navy.
James had a big sense of humor and his grandkids often imitate him. James often said that the only thing he ever did right in life was his two daughters, Marjorie and Crystal.
James married Maryann Rea on April 17, 1971in Raton and they welcomed their first daughter Marjorie in January 1972 and their second daughter Crystal in November 1974.
James was preceded in death by his father Clinton E. Haugh in 1973 and his mother Marjorie A Haugh in 2010.
James is survived by two daughters Marjorie Zamora and boyfriend Benji Trujillo of Raton, and Marjorie’s two sons, Aubrey Martinez and Joshua Trujillo, both of Raton and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by one sister April Rose Moore and Antone Rose and numerous friends.
James will be cremated as was his wish. There will be a memorial service for James at Calvary Baptist Church in Raton on Tuesday, April 21 at 11 a.m at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev Ed Burkle officiating. Lunchon to follow after service. A private burial of his ashes will also be done by his family at a later date.
James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
