In Loving Memory of Yvonne L Sandoval

Obituary for Yvonne L Sandoval

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne L Sandoval, a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She left this world peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most.

Yvonne lived her life with grace, joy, and an undeniable spark that touched everyone who knew her. Her beautiful smile lit every room she walked into, and a zest for life that shone through her love of dancing—whether at family gatherings, church events, or simply in her kitchen when an Elvis song came on. The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll held a special place in her heart, and her laughter often filled the room whenever his music played.

Her faith was her foundation. A devoted member of her church and member of The Legion of Mary, she found strength and peace in her faith community, attending services faithfully and living her life guided by kindness and compassion. She never met a stranger, and her warmth made everyone feel like family.

Above all, her greatest joy came from being “Grandma” to her precious grandbabies. She loved nothing more than spending time with them—rocking them to sleep, cheering at their games, or spoiling them just a little too much. Her eyes would light up whenever they walked into the room.

Yvonne leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith. She will be deeply missed by her family, including her devoted husband David of 55 years, her children Michelle Valdez, Melinda Baca (Dwayne), and Jason Sandoval (Jennifer).  Her beloved grandchildren are Derrick Valdez (Christina), Jordan Ada (Davin), Arianna Baca (Dalis), Mckenna Valdez, Matthew Baca, Kyler Jay, Jayla Kai, and Kamdyn Lea Sandoval. Her great-grandchildren, Daesyn & Phoenyx Valdez, and Luka & Malia Ada. Also survived by her mother, Josephine Gonzales, sister, Elaine Fodor (Dan), and brother Michael Gonzales.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 13th, 2-4 pm in the Chapel of the  Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on November 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Patrick’s./ Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Woytavich as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
