In Loving Memory of Helen M. Collins

Helen M. Collins, age 75, of Trinidad Co, was called by the Lord peacefully on December 4, 2023, with family by her side.

Helen was born to Roy and Maclovia (Montoya) Collins on November 19, 1948.

Helen graduated from Trinidad High School and took mechanic classes at Trinidad Jr. College.  

She loved being with family, taking family vacations, visiting with friends and her neighbors.
She loved her pets and always put them first.  No stray went hungry.

Preceding her in death are parents Roy and Maclovia (Montoya) Collins, daughter Sonia Collins, granddaughter Dylana Collins-Wingo, brothers Richard Collins and Ernest Lucero, Sr., brother-in-law Walter Atencio, sister-in-law Florence Lucero and niece Linda Medina.

Survivors are her sister Sarah Atencio of Trinidad, CO, nieces Mary Lou Atencio (Jerry Myers), Vikki Lucero (Lorraine Martinez), Margaret Lucero (Ted Stetson) and nephew Ernest Lucero, Jr. (Sharon).

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 14, from 3-6:00 at Comi's Funeral Home Chapel.
Rosary will be at 7:00.

Funeral will be on Friday, December 15, at 10:00 at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers are Jerry Myers, Lorraine Martinez, Ernest Lucero, Jr., Dustin Medina and Tim Peña.

Immediately following the services, you are invited to gather with the family at El Rancho Restaurant.
