Jane Lucille Aguilar, 80, passed away on November 30, 2022, at Parkview Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1942, in Trinidad, Colorado, the daughter of the late Gus and Tillie Garcia.
Jane attended schools in Trinidad and worked as a waitress and cook for many years. Her hard work paid off as she managed the Frontier Cafe for over 25 years where she also cooked and was well known for her homemade chile, soups and pies.
Through the years she enjoyed playing softball, dancing, bowling, fishing, camping, crocheting, bingo, going to casinos, and watching western movies.
She met the love of her life, Jake Victor Aguilar and they were soon married. They celebrated their 59th anniversary on April 7th of this year.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Connie Garcia, brothers, Gus Garcia Jr., and Ernest Garcia, and her grandson, Anthony Aguilar. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Victor (Molly) Aguilar, and Jacob (Ida) Aguilar, daughter, Terry Aguilar (Raul Velarde) and her grandson, Victor Aguilar Jr. She is also survived by her brothers, Xavier (Maria) Garcia, Charles (Wanda) Garcia, Duane Mark Garcia, sisters, Barbara Garcia and Linda Garcia, brothers and sisters-in-law, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and good friends.
We will be celebrating her life on December 16, 2022. Rosary will be at the Comi Chapel at 9:00 a.m. The funeral mass will be at the Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetary. Arrangements are made under the care of the Comi Funeral Home.
