Blessing of the Animals ~ Roundhouse Park

The Raton Humane Society announces that SAT., Oct. 1st there will be a Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. It will be held at 11AM at Roundhouse Memorial Park Gazebo (near the Aquatic Center & behind Longfellow Elementary) with Father Bill from St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church presiding. Bring ANY animal, but make sure they are ‘contained’ — by leash, kennel, box, reigns, rope or tie. “We don’t want any animal hurt on St. Francis of Assisi Day! Come one, come all, and we’ll mingle with our beloved pets afterwards.”
