DESCRIPTION:The Raton Humane Society announces that SAT.\, Oct. 1st there will be a Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. It will be held at 11AM at Roundhouse Memorial Park Gazebo (near the Aquatic Center & behind Longfellow Elementary) with Father Bill from St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church presiding. Bring ANY animal\, but make sure they are ‘contained’ — by leash\, kennel\, box\, reigns\, rope or tie. “We don’t want any animal hurt on St. Francis of Assisi Day! Come one\, come all\, and we’ll mingle with our beloved pets afterwards.”
