In Loving Memory of George Lovato Sr.

George Lovato Sr. age 64, passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2022, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born to Fred and Carrie Lovato on February 22, 1958. He attended Trinidad area schools where he participated in football, basketball, and wrestling. He graduated from Trinidad High School in May 1977. He married the love of his life Pat on May 31, 1980. He had two children whom he loved with his whole heart. His greatest joy with his wife, kids, and grandbabies. He was known for his sense of humor and always had jokes and nicknames for everyone. He was an active member of the Trinidad Optimist Club in his younger years, coaching T-ball, kickball, and flag football. George was a diehard Bronco fan and never missed watching the game. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and loved fishing.
George was employed at Mt San Rafael Hospital for 29 years and Pioneer Natural Resources for 15 years. Waiting for George at Heaven’s Gates were his granddaughter Madison Blair,  parents Fred and Carrie Lovato, brother John Lovato, sister Mary  Lamorie,  brother Dave Lovato and brother Frank Lovato.
He is survived by the love of his life Patricia Trinidad, daughter Lucille (ZacK)Blair of Trinidad, son George Jr.  (Celina)Lovato of Trinidad, his grandchildren who he absolutely adored, Aubrey, Gabby (his Punk’s), and Gracie ( his Chunk’s)Blair of Trinidad, Jacob (Cierra)Valdez, Shania Valdez, and Giovanni Lovato all of Trinidad.
He has also survived by his sister Pat Lovato of Pueblo, brothers Robert Lovato of Trinidad, Manuel (Sandy) Lovato of Denver, Andrew (Sally )Lovato of Denver, and brother Billy (Helen) Lovato of Denver, numerous nieces nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved.
Special lifelong friends of his were Bob (Sandra)Fernandez, Bill Dunning, Jim, and Alma Hardy, Toni and Del Prieto, Tony and Darlene Santistevan, and Sarah and Aubrey Madrid. George will be missed and always loved by many. At his request, there will be no service. A private family spreading of cremains will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.

    I will always remember fishing and spending Christmas with Uncle George, Auntie Pat, Lucille and Georgie. I would randomly stop by to see my Uncle and Auntie on the way to Monument Lake. He will always be a Rock, a tough man in my eyes. With a great laugh and sense of humor. Love you Uncle George. Always. I’ll keep catching fish for you here!
