In Loving Memory of Lillian Regina Mata Laumbach

Lillian Regina Mata Laumbach, age 64, died on February 28, 2022, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 6, at 6:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Roy, New Mexico by Pedro Laumbach, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 7, with Fr. Chris Martinez as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Vigil Cemetery South of Mosquero, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Lillian Regina Mata Laumbach was born on September 9, 1957, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Isidro and Dolores Mata. She grew up in Amarillo, Texas where she married Pedro Laumbach on April 19, 1976. She is survived by her husband Pedro Laumbach of 45 years of Roy, New Mexico, Daughter, Venita Ames and her husband Russ of Albuquerque, New Mexico and their children, Savannah and Carson, Son, Pedro Laumbach, Jr. And Wayne Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colorado and daughter, Elisa Townsend and her husband Cody of Clayton, New Mexico and their children, Katelyn and Natalie. Her mother, Dolores Mata of Amarillo, Texas, brothers, Isidro Mata and his wife Alice, Ruben Mata and his wife Maribeth, Edward Mata and his wife Sally, sisters, Gloria Solis ad her husband Jimmy and Annette Mata and Andy Malacara, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews, brothers-in=law and sisters-in-law, Lucille Gonzales, Ralph and Liz Laumbach, Rick and Mary Laumbach, Mike and Sharla Laumbach, Christina Laumbach, Elizabeth and Joe Trujillo, Andrew Laumbach and Rose and Steve Monreal. She was preceded in death by her dad, Isidro, sisters, Marianne and Linda, brother Daniel, brother-in-law, Alfred Laumbach, sisters-in-law, Frances Chavez and Petra Laumbach and her mother-in-law, Eleanor Laumbach, father-in-law, Alfred Laumbach and 3 nephews, Joseph Mata, Steven Monreal and Vincent Monreal. Lillian was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Roy where she was a teacher and coordinator of the religious program for 30 years and she was active as Mayordomo. She was employed by Harding County where she retired after 31 years of service. She also worked at City Market, for Roy Sundries and Annettes Café for years and was a babysitter for numerous kids in the Roy area who called her Aunt Lilly. She was an active member of the community and 4-H Program. On October 5, 2009, Lilly and Pedro received the St. Francis of Assisi award for outstanding service in the Parish. Lilly and Pedro were also recognized by the Harding County Fair Board by dedicating their fair book in her honor. She was employed by El Centro Family Health Clinic in Roy for 20 years until her death. Lillian was always kind to everyone and will be greatly missed.
