Feb. 1 Michael Sandoval failed to appear for arraignment on felony and petty misdemeanor shoplifting charges. A bench warrant for his arrest is pending.

Patrick Murtagh was arraigned on felony DWI (4th offense) and misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident. He is ordered to not consume alcohol and wear an ankle monitor that detects alcohol consumption and to comply with other standard conditions of release pending trial.

Jacob Kopp was arraigned on felony burglary of a vehicle and misdemeanor resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release pending trial.

Zane Cordova was arraigned on felony battery upon a peace officer and misdemeanor resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer, and indecent exposure. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release. He remains in custody in another matter.

Teri Black’s conditions of release were revoked. She will remain in custody pending trial on charges of felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and abuse of a child, and misdemeanor battery.

On appeal from the magistrate court, Joseph Apache was found not guilty after a non-jury trial on charges of misdemeanor criminal trespass and was remanded to the magistrate court for dismissal.

On appeal from the magistrate court, Bethany Anderson was found guilty after a non-jury trial of misdemeanor aggravated DWI (refused testing) (1st offense) and was remanded to the magistrate court for enforcement of the judgment and sentence.

Feb. 3 On appeal from the magistrate court, Robert Woolley was found to have violated his probation and was remanded to the magistrate court for enforcement of the judgment and sentence. He failed to report to the Colfax County Detention Center, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Brittany Romero had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke her probation. She remains in custody pending her probation violation hearing, but may be released to an inpatient treatment program.

Alex Kolb was arraigned on felony possession of a controlled substance. He remains in custody and is participating in an inpatient treatment program.

Feb. 11 Leon Boudreaux was found guilty after a jury trial of incest, a third degree felony. Sentencing will be held at a later date after a risk assessment is completed. He remains out of custody under standard conditions of release.

Feb. 12 Sierra Trapp failed to appear for arraignment on felony non-residential burglary, breaking and entering, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, receiving or transferring stolen property, and misdemeanor criminal trespass. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest.

Feb. 15 Zane Cordova was found to have violated his probation. He was sentenced to serve the remainder of his time in the Department of Corrections with a recommendation to the drug treatment program in prison.

Feb. 16 Kortney Barber and Kurtis Trujillo were ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including no contact with the victims and not to return to the scene of the incident, following denial of the motion for pretrial preventative detention on charges of felony aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and misdemeanor negligent use of a deadly weapon. Testimony during the pretrial detention hearing revealed that Ms. Barber and Mr. Trujillo are alleged to have broken into the home of Ms. Barber’s sister and niece while armed with a pistol, so that Ms. Barber could take a bath. After being confronted in the bathroom by Ms. Barber’s niece pointing a rifle-style pellet gun at them, Mr. Trujillo is alleged to have pointed the pistol at the niece, but put down the pistol when the niece informed him that she had only a pellet gun. Ms. Barber is alleged to have then taken the pistol and discharged one round into the ceiling of the home as the niece was retreating from the bathroom.

Martin Quintana was arraigned on felony aggravated stalking (violation of a protection order), possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence, and misdemeanor violation of a domestic violence restraining order and driving with a suspended license. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including release on house arrest with an ankle monitor and no contact with the victim.

Feb. 17 Robert McAnally was found to have violated his probation. He was reinstated on probation with the additional requirement that he complete a minimum 90-day inpatient treatment program, followed by the Raton Adult Drug Court program.

Feb. 18 Rodney Gene York entered into a plea agreement in which he pleaded guilty to felony residential burglary, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, and aggravated battery on a peace officer, and no contest to aggravated burglary (armed after entering). Per the agreement, he was sentenced to serve 4 and ½

years in the Department of Corrections with a recommendation to the drug treatment program in prison, to be followed by 5 years of supervised probation.

Adam Raymond entered into a plea agreement in which he pleaded guilty to aggravated battery against a household member with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Per the agreement, he was sentenced to 4 and ½ years supervised probation, must follow recommendations of a drug and alcohol assessment, and must complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling. He remains in custody in another matter.

Feb. 22 Jonathan Stockton was found guilty after a jury trial of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a household member, a fourth degree felony. He will be sentenced at a later date after a Department of Corrections assessment. He remains in custody.

Feb. 24 Thomas Anaya was found guilty after a jury trial of aggravated battery with great bodily harm on a household member, a third degree felony, and false imprisonment, a fourth degree felony. He was taken into custody immediately after trial and will be sentenced at a later date following a Department of Corrections assessment.

Feb. 25 Stephanie Munoz had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke her probation. She remains in custody pending her probation violation hearing, but may be released to an inpatient treatment program.
