Mar. 1 Filadelfio Chavez was arraigned on felony armed robbery and two counts of aggravated battery for events occurring during a domestic dispute. He remains in custody in another matter.

Brian Witschen was arraigned on two counts of felony assault by a prisoner. He remains in custody in another matter. A motion for his release was denied.

Brittany Alyssa Romero was arraigned on felony possession of methamphetamine, aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct and reckless driving. She is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing.

Carl Whitten, Jr. was arraigned on felony possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon, possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor driving while license suspended, improper display of registration, and no insurance. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing and outpatient drug treatment.

David Thomas failed to appear for arraignment on two counts of felony non-residential burglary, one count of felony breaking and entering, three counts of felony unlawful taking of a motor vehicle (2nd offense), one count of felony receiving stolen property, and one count of misdemeanor criminal trespass. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Michael Hunter Davis was arraigned on felony aggravated battery against a household member and misdemeanor resisting, evading or obstructing an officer. He is order to comply with standard conditions of release, including outpatient drug treatment and no contact with the alleged victim.

Angelica M. Sanchez was arraigned on two counts of felony child abuse (not resulting in death or great bodily harm), one count of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor failure to stop at a stop sign, driving while license suspended, no evidence of registration, no proof of insurance, and child not in restraint device or seat belt. She is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing.

Juan Paz was arraigned on felony distribution of marijuana to a minor, possession of methamphetamine, distribution of marijuana, and two counts of misdemeanor possession of marijuana (up to one-half ounce) and no insurance. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing and a drug and behavioral health assessment.

Daniel Lopez entered into a plea agreement in which he pleaded guilty to felony aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor (4th offense) and misdemeanor driving while license suspended. Per the agreement, he was sentenced to serve six months in the Colfax County Detention Center, followed by twelve months of supervised probation. He is ordered to have a lifetime ignition interlock and undergo substance abuse counseling and treatment.

David Licon’s probation was revoked and reinstated with the added condition that he complete a minimum of 90 days inpatient drug treatment and shall remain in custody until accepted into treatment.

Mar. 3 Steven R. Hernandez entered into a plea agreement in which he pleaded guilty to the felony of attempted arson and misdemeanor criminal damage to property and admitted to one prior felony conviction that was held in abeyance for habitual offender purposes. Per the agreement, he was sentenced to four years supervised probation, ordered to pay restitution, $100 to crimestoppers, and to have no contact with the victim.

Malcolm Simmons was arraigned on felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, and driving while license revoked. He was ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing.

Alonzo Chavez admitted to having violated his probation. He was released to an inpatient drug treatment program pending sentencing.

Mar. 4 Bobby A. Sisneros was arraigned on three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and heroin), and misdemeanor possession of marijuana (up to one half ounce) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing. He also had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke his probation, in which he is ordered to remain in custody until accepted into an inpatient drug treatment program.

Devin Ray Hyndman was arraigned on felony child abuse (not resulting in death or great bodily harm), breaking and entering, larceny, false evidence of title or registration, and misdemeanor criminal trespass. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including no contact with the alleged child abuse victim, and to stay off of Russell’s property.

Mar. 8 Rogelio Ezqueda’s motion to withdraw his plea of guilty to armed robbery (second offense) was granted, due to there being no record of conviction for a first offense of armed robbery. A status conference will be held in approximately thirty days.

Mar. 10 Alex Kolb was released from custody to an outpatient drug treatment program and ordered to comply with standard conditions of release pending his probation violation hearing.

Monique Marie-Estelle Trujillo was arraigned on possession of methamphetamine and ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including drug testing upon request of the court.

Abel Carmona-Romero was arraigned on felony aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer and misdemeanor reckless driving, driving on divided highways, speeding, and possession of marijuana (up to one half ounce). He was ordered to comply with standard conditions of release.

Rosie Laverne Reese had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke probation. She is ordered to report weekly to her probation officer pending the probation violation hearing.

Mar. 15 Antonio Garcia’s motion to review conditions of release was denied.

Jose Islas’s motion to reconsider pretrial detention was granted. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including house arrest with an ankle monitor, intensive outpatient drug treatment, and no contact with the alleged victims.

Mar. 17 Jason Adam Duran failed to appear at arraignment on felony possession of methamphetamine. A bench warrant will be issued for his arrest.

On appeal from the magistrate court, Michael Arguello was found guilty of misdemeanor driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor (1st offense) and careless driving. The matter was remanded to the magistrate court for enforcement of the judgment and sentence.

Mar. 22 Andres Hernandez failed to appear for status hearing. A bench warrant will be issued for his arrest.

Steven Hernandez failed to appear for docket call. A bench warrant will be issued for his arrest.

Ramon Manuel Trueba had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke motion. Bond was set at $5,000, 10% to the court. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release and to report to his probation officer within 24 hours of release.

Angela Stockton was arraigned on three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine), and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana (up to one half ounce), and driving while license revoked. She is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including random drug testing and outpatient drug treatment.

Margaret Tenille Minns Roybal was arraigned on two felony counts of burglary of a vehicle and misdemeanor concealing identity. She is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release.

Angelique Gallegos had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke probation. She is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release pending her probation violation hearing.

Filbert Sandoval was found to have violated his probation. He was sentenced to serve three years in the Department of Corrections.

Terri Black was arraigned on two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of heroin, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana (up to one half ounce) and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release. She remains in custody from having her release revoked in another matter.

Patricia Mastrantoni failed to appear for arraignment on felony aggravated assault on a household member with a deadly weapon. A warrant was issued for her arrest, and she is in custody at this time.

Mar. 24 On appeal from the magistrate court, and per agreement of the parties, Richard Andrew Schwartz pleaded guilty to a reduced count of speeding (11-15 over). The matter was remanded to the magistrate court for further proceedings consistent with the amended conviction.

Joseph Martinez was arraigned on two felony counts of criminal sexual penetration in the second degree (position of authority over inmate). He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including no contact with the alleged victims.

Steven Garcia entered into an agreement with the state concerning his petition for habeas corpus, which reduces his sentence from fifteen years to twelve years and provides for his release to three and one-half years supervised probation.

Alex Kolb admitted to violating his probation. His probation was revoked and reinstated with the added condition that he continue to engage in outpatient drug treatment for the remainder of his probationary period and any other treatment program deemed appropriate by his probation officer.

Mar. 25 Daniel Vigil had an initial appearance on the motion to revoke probation. Bond was set at $5,000, 10% to the court. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release and to report to his probation officer within 24 hours of his release.

Benito Chavez, Jr. was arraigned on two counts of felony aggravated battery on a household member with great bodily harm and assault on a household member with intent to commit a violent felony. Bond was set at $2,500, 10% to the court. He is ordered to comply with standard conditions of release, including house arrest with ankle monitor and no contact with the alleged victim.

Jerry Gilbert Espinzoa’s motion to suppress paternity test was denied. Jury trial on charges of criminal sexual penetration in the first degree and incest is pending.

Mar. 30 Jeremy Jines pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor (3rd offense). Sentencing will be held at a later date after a substance use assessment.

Mar. 31 Samuel Neal was found guilty after a jury trial of kidnapping in the first degree, criminal sexual penetration in the second degree, aggravated battery with great bodily harm, and interference with communications. Sentencing will be held at a later date after a comprehensive sex offender and psychological evaluation. He remains in custody.
