I’ve known the twins all my life and not having them around anymore is another void in my life. We would spend much time almost weekly talking, laughing, joking, and sometimes even yes crying over things that we’ve done and been through in our past separately and together. The twins had a way of taking the worst and finding the best in it and laughter always came from that. We used to do such crazy things as riding in my ’54 Ford they named the brown bomber because it was Brown and had no back seat and we’d pack all the kids we could from Raton High School in it and drive around town during lunch break. When they’d come up to Denver, is take them out to wherever I was singing and treat them to a night out and even tried to get them up on stage with me… Never happened! I’m go’n to miss you my brothers.

“The Twins,” were a pair that always looked out for the other. I remember them when I worked at Miner’s Hospital and they were patients. They had the whole nursing staff in laughter mode and they were loved by all. They were only sophomore’s at the time. Over the years Fred was my neighbor and I got to know his son Chris from the schools and the bowling alley. May Fred rest in peace as he joins his brother Frank and other Romero family members. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about Fred’s passing and so shortly after his twin brother Frank. They were so close and I could always see the love they had for each other. I think they felt responsible for each other especially since one gave his kidney to the other. They were so kind and loving to my Mother and she really appreciated that. My condolences to all of the family.
