Presentation & Book Signing (Trinidad Library)

Trinidad Carnegie Public Library will host a presentation and book signing for “Your story is important – Tell Your Family Story” featuring Irene Blea, Ph. D. on Wednesday, August 3rd from 6:30 pm – 8 pm.

 

Award winning and internationally known author and scholar, Dr. Irene Blea,
draws from many years as a researcher to reveal why your story is
important. She will discuss how to tell and write your story while she
draws from her own family history, and how she went from writing with pen
and pencil to typewriter, computer, Internet, Facebook, and Webinar. Dr.
Blea is a New Mexico native, whose novel, *Daughters of the West Mesa,* was
awarded the *Best of Albuquerque* *Magazine*. She is the author of much
poetry, the *Suzanna* series, and 7 textbooks on women and race relations.
Blea retired as a Tenured Full Professor and Chairperson of Mexican
American Studies at California State University-Los Angeles to write the
stories of her family and the environment.

Book Signing to follow. This event is Free and open to the public
