TigerFest games were played on Saturday afternoon with a little twist, the boys took to the court first to take on the Trinidad Miners followed by the Lady Tigers playing the Lady Miners.
Raton took the lead in the game, but Trinidad kept it close allowing only a six point lead in the first half of the game. Logan Elliott was back in the game for Raton and made his presence felt under the basket with rebounds. Raton went into the extended halftime break with a 26-20 lead.
After the presentation of Tigerfest royalty the boys took back the court with Trinidad finds their groove and a strong defensive game held Raton to only two points in the third quarter. Trinidad pulled out to a 12 point lead more than once but Raton wouldn’t give in easily and kept hounding the Miners. By the end of the game Trinidad managed to hold Raton down by seven for a 59-52 win.
