The Raton Tigers baseball team wrapped up a memorable 2026 season with a 12-13 overall record, a third-place finish in district play, and a playoff victory that showcased the heart and determination of the program.
After battling through a competitive regular season filled with ups and downs, the Tigers found their stride when it mattered most. Raton earned a road playoff matchup and delivered one of its biggest wins of the year away from home, proving the team’s resilience and toughness under pressure.
Throughout the season, the Tigers continued to improve and compete hard against strong opponents. The team’s success was built on effort, teamwork, and a willingness to fight through adversity. Finishing third in the district standings was a testament to the growth the players showed from the beginning of the season to the end.
Head Coach Robby Armijo praised the group for their commitment and attitude all season long.
“This team never quit,” Armijo said. “No matter the situation, our players continued to compete and represent our program the right way. Winning a playoff game on the road was a huge accomplishment for these guys, and I’m proud of everything they achieved this season.”
The Tigers also earned several postseason honors for their performances during the year. First Team All-District selections included Azden Romero, Warren Berry, and Braylon Walton. Honorable Mention honors went to Chris Ortega and Brayden Tapia.
While the season may have come to an end, the Tigers laid a strong foundation for the future and gave the community plenty to be proud of through their determination, growth, and postseason success.
