The Lady Tigers were crowned district champs after winning their match in Santa Rosa on Thursday November 6, 2025, the first times since 2016 and then on Saturday morning November 8, 2025 hosted Clayton in Tiger Gym where in fine fashion they won that match in three to go undefeated in district play and finish the season at 10-0 in district play.
After yesterday’s play Raton is now ranked fifth in Class 2A behind

The JV took the court to begin the morning play and in game one Clayton took the lead with Raton tying the game at three and five. Clayton found their groove taking an 11-6 lead only to allow Raton to battle back within one before once again pulling out for a 25-19 win.
Raton took the lead in game two after ties at two and four point on the score board. Raton then took the quick lead and kept adding points going up 19-10. they finished off the game with the win and on to the tie breaker where the score was tied at 2, 3, 4, and five before Raton put the ball to the wood and went ahead for the win.
Senior Juliani Plazola who injured her knee earlier in the season was allowed to begin the varsity match by making an honorary first serve. The varsity girls game one went back and forth in the beginning with a tie game at six and again at 10 and 11. Raton then found their groove and pulled ahead by three and continued to battle and pull out an 11 point win over Clayton. Strong play by the seniors was key to the win as Addison Medina made key serves as Jennifer Mattorano and Paige Lemons made the spikes and hits at the net. Medina and Lemons also worked the net for blocks.
In game two Raton took the lead and simply dominated the game holding the Jackettes to only 15 points. In game three the Lady Tigers took a 7-3 lead but allowed the Jackettes to battle back to a 7-6 score. Raton then poured on the power and took a 12-6 lead and finished the game with a 25-18 win.
