The Raton Lady Tigers took the court in Tiger Gym for a district match against the Pecos Lady Panthers Saturday afternoon October 25, 2025 where both the JV and Varsity marked the win column.
The JV took the court first with game one going into a tie at eight then Raton took the lead stretching the score out by six. Then extended that lead to 10 for the final. In game two Raton took the early lead with Carisa Trujillo and team adding seven points on to the scoreboard. Alijahlee Sisneros and team added another seven points to take Raton to a 22-11 lead and then the win.
Raton came into the game with a 5-0 district record while Pecos shows up with a 2-3 record in Class 2A District 6. Raton took the early lead in game one and pulled out to a 15-9 lead. By the end of the game it was a 25-17 win.
In game two Raton took the early lead with Addison Medina and team scoring the first seven points. Jennifer Mattorano and team added another six points on her serves topping with a 18-6 score. The Lady Tigers ended the game with a 15 point win.
Game three again saw Raton take the early lead with six serves from Addison Medina and team to go up 6-0 Pecos closed in during the middle part of the game then Raton extended the lead to 20-14. they finished the game with good volleys and strong net play for the three game win.
