In Loving Memory of Louie Santistevan UPDATE

With a heavy heart, we announce Louie Santistevan, age 78, passed away on May 6th, 2025 after a lengthy illness with cancer. Louis Santistevan was born on April 25, 1947 to Louis and Ida Santistevan in Trinidad, CO. Louie was an avid Broncos, Rockies, and Nuggets fan. Louie loved the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He loved hanging with his buddies @ JRs scratching those lottery tickets and playing cards. As his health started to decline he loved going for car rides with his wife and son and just listening to the radio singing away. Louie worked as a coal Miner for over 25 years, mostly at the Allen Mine until his retirement. Louie was preceded in death by his father Louis and his mom Ida. His brother Anthony Santistevan and granddaughter Kimmy Trujillo.
Louie leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Esther Aragon Santistevan, his sons Louie, (Michelle) Santistevan, Lawrence Weydo (Del) Santistevan his daughters Lucy Santistevan, Denise( Wes) Williams, Valerie Trujillo and Diane Zamarron ..His special granddaughter whom he raised Anjelica(Erik) Garduno. Grandkids: Gabe, Briana, Troy, Arianna, Louie IV, Andrew, Jesika, Brett, Natalie, Ben, Lawrence, April, Lacy, Stephanie, and Steve Jr., John, Arthur, Eric, Sheila, Thomas and many many great-grandchildren. We will always love you and you will be greatly missed! Your memory will live through your family and friends!
Funeral services will be Friday May 23, 2023 at Holy Trinity Church with rosary at 9:30 am followed by mass at 10:00 am.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
