Michael A Thompson, 66, passed away November 5, 2024, at home peacefully with his wife Linda Thompson, and son Faren Greathouse Jr., by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ethel M. Thompson(Rose), Leland (Hap) Thompson; his sister Barbara and nephew Doug Thompson. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Felicia, granddaughters Ashley Greathouse and Kristianna, siblings as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. On February 20, 2006, Michael was in an electrical accident that caused him to have a below-elbow amputation. This also caused Mike to have a traumatic brain injury. His short-term memory loss was always a challenge. He would watch all the older shows like ‘Gunsmoke, ‘Leave it to Beaver, Perry Mason, MASH, etc.. Watching a 30-minute show with Mike would take us up to three hours to watch because he had to stop to explain to us what had just happened and his opinion.
Although Mike’s injury was severe he didn’t let that keep him from making the best out of life. He would crack jokes or make serious comments and shock us all and then turn around and smile from ear to ear. He wanted to know that we were paying attention.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 12, from 3 to 7 PM, at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel.
At his request cremation to follow.
Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home

In Loving Memory of Michael A Thompson
