In Loving Memory of Sam Maniscalco

Sam Maniscalco was born on October 27, 1939, in the early hours of the morning to Mary (Valenti) and Sam Maniscalco Sr. at their home in Trinidad, Colorado. He entered his eternal life on October 8, 2024.

Sam’s physical strength was enraged by cancer; however, his spiritual strength remained strong.

Sam and his only sibling, Philip A. Maniscalco owned and operated a metal recycling business for 56 years.

Sam was awarded an Honorable Discharge from the Army National Guard of Colorado. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks.

Sam was united in Holy Matrimony to Jo Ann Tamburelli on June 25, 1960, at Most Holy Trinity Church.

Sam shared his life, love, and blessings with his beloved family: Wife; Jo Ann; Children; Pamela and husband Steven Atwater, Diane and husband Matthew Martin, Kevin Sam and wife Frankie Maniscalco; Grandchildren; Sara and husband Alex Davila, Gina Hedquist, Jacob and wife Candace Atwater, Jordan Casey and Kristiana “Niki” Martin, Jessica and husband Luis Guzman, Ashley and husband Colin Caldwell, and Kyle Maniscalco; Great grandchildren; Austin Shea, Nikolas, Delanie, Brady Davila, Caden and Emma Hedquist, Asher and Logan Atwater, Arianna Sanchez, Lexie, Antonio Luis, Annalyse, and Jayce Guzman. Also, a host of extended family and friends were part of his life.

Sam leaves a legacy of his Faith in our Lord, his love for family and friends, and hard work. As Catholic Christians we are called to affirm that death is not the end of life, but the beginning.

Sam’s family will remember him:

In the rising of the sun and it’s going down

In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter

In the opening buds and the rebirth of spring

In the blueness of the sky and the warmth of summer

In the rustling of the leaves and the beauty of autumn

In the beginning of the year and when it ends

When they are weary and in need of strength

When they are lost and sick of heart

When they have joy they crave to share

When they have difficult decisions to make

For as long as we live, Sam shall live, for he is a part of us in memories.
