ShortGrass Music Festival: Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams

The eclectic ShortGrass Music Festival presents its 12th season of live music in Cimarron, New Mexico Fri.-Sun., Sept.16th-18th. Featured this year are: The Magnolia Sisters, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams and cellist Denise Djokic with pianist Heng-Jin Park.

This is not the first rodeo in these parts for Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams, who will appear on the outdoor stage in nearby Colfax Saturday evening, September 17. Their Rocky Mountain rock & roll is equal parts rocked-up honky tonk, western swing, Dylanesque originals and spaghetti western epics, featuring steel guitar, double-neck electric guitar, mandolin, bass and drums. The show opens at 7 p.m. with the Hwy 38 Houndogs, from Red River, NM.
