Jazz Band, LE CHAT LUNATIQUE, at Philmont

LE CHAT LUNATIQUE will perform in the sala, or main room, of the Kit Carson Home, now a living history museum on the Philmont Scout Ranch on Friday, June 12th at 7 pm.

This traditional, hacienda-style adobe is a restoration of the home Kit Carson built for himself around 1848 in Rayado, the earliest known village on the Mountain Branch of the Santa Fe Trail, and features a central placita with an horno, or beehive shaped oven for making bread, and a blacksmith shop.

Evenings in northern New Mexico can be cool and the building itself is unheated–bring a sweater, shawl or jacket.
