In Loving Memory of Henri (Hank) Sandoval

Henri (Hank) Lyle Sandoval, age 54, passed away on April 25, 2026. Hank was born on August 7, 1971, to Cleo Ann Nordman in Springer, New Mexico.

For 16 years, Hank was the proud Owner and Operator of Sunnyside Hardware in Springer. He took over the business to keep the doors open for his family, working closely alongside his mom, Annie, his aunt Velma, and his fiancée, Bernadette Encinias. Hank was deeply committed to the store and the loyal customers who relied on it. He took genuine pride in his work, always going out of his way to ensure people had the right supplies and advice to finish their projects.

Outside of the hardware store, Hank was an avid sports fan with a particular love for baseball. He spent his free time attending games and cheering on his favorite teams, the Colorado Rockies and the New Mexico Isotopes. He also enjoyed playing an occasional round of golf and taking trips to the casino, where he was known to hit several jackpots.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Nordman; maternal grandmother, Cleo Nordman; and his brother, Kyle Williams.

He is survived by his fiancée, Bernadette Encinias; her son, Alexander (Brittny) Muniz, Jr., through whom Hank was a proud grandparent to Emilia, Dalton, and Charlotte; his mother, Cleo Ann Nordman; his son, Phillip (Jess Cochran) Sandoval; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.

Services for Henri (Hank) Sandoval will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Springer, New Mexico, officiated by Curtis Crawford. Pallbearers will include Tommy Lee Crawford, Allen Segotta, Lance Lacey, Jr., Joseph Smith, Juan Romero, and Edwin (Wiggs) Martinez.

Arrangements for Henri Hank Sandoval are entrusted to the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
