Emma Jean Towndrow Ferranti was born on 06/13/1930 to Elmer Joseph Towndrow and Mary D. Hilton. She was born, raised, and lived 88 years in Raton New Mexico. She was a beloved member of the community working as a Telephone operator during WWII, in admissions at the local hospital, and in customer service in various business lastly retiring at age 82 from Helen’s gift shop.
Emma Jean Ferranti will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her devotion to family, and her lifelong commitment to helping others. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her, leaving lasting memories and a legacy of love.
Emma Jean passed away peacefully at the age of 95 with family by her side. She is survived by her 3 Grandchildren Joseph David Ferranti, Jana Lynn Scott, and Angela Marie Frederick 6 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband of 65 years David Ferranti, son David Wayne Ferranti, and sister Mary Jane Reed.
A celebration of Emma Jean Ferranti’s life will be held on June 20, 2026 at Fairmount Cemetery, beginning at 10:00AM. Friends and family are invited to share memories and honor their legacy.
