Following Vic’s retirement in 1989, the couple returned to Raton, where they enjoyed retirement. Jeanne’s Catholic faith guided her throughout her life. She became an active member of the Legion of Mary in Raton, NM on October 16, 1989, and found great purpose in prayer, service, and fellowship. One of the most cherished experiences of her life was a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Bosnia; Rome and other places in Italy, in 2000.

Those who knew Jeanne will remember her radiant smile, sweet giggle, and the genuine warmth she brought into every room. She possessed a quiet strength, a generous heart, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. Her kindness, faith, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
