In Loving Memory of Jennette Marie (DeGarbo) Bonato

Jennette Marie (DeGarbo) Bonato passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2026, at the age of 69.
Jennette was born in Trinidad, Colorado, on October 5th, 1956, to Jimmy and Judy DeGarbo.
Jennette graduated from Hoehne High School in 1975 and, shortly thereafter, married her husband of 49 years and love of her life, Joe Bonato. They had two beautiful children: MaryJo and Martin.
Jennette followed in her mother’s footsteps and attended nursing school at Trinidad State Junior College.  After graduation she worked at Trinidad State Nursing Home for over 30 years as an L.P.N.  After retirement from the nursing home, she continued her practice as a nurse at the Trinidad Legacy and served as a caregiver throughout her career.  Jennette touched the lives of many of her patients and colleagues.
Jennette was a devoted, loving, and nurturing wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved her family, children, and grandchildren with all of her heart.
Jennette was a friend to so many and had an incredible love for life and for those around her.  She enjoyed singing, dancing, being outdoors, celebrating holidays, spending time with her family and friends and making memories.  Jennette loved her family farm in Hoehne, Colorado and enjoyed sharing memories of her life on the farm.
Above all else, Jennette had a very strong faith in God and devoted her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her Legacy will be carried on in each life she touched through her kindness and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Judy DeGarbo.
She is survived by her husband Joe Bonato, daughter MaryJo (Mike) Baudino, son Martin Bonato, grandchildren Kaylee, Aiden, Dominic, and Adam, sister Jeanine (Mike) Ridolfi, brother Vince (Daniella) DeGarbo, many other family members, nieces, and nephews.

The visitation will be held at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Funeral Services will be held this Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Holy Trinity Church beginning with a Rosary at 12:30pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00pm.
Interment will be held at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery immediately after.

Active pallbearers are Trevor Hodge, Fabian DeGarbo, Brad Baca, Andrew DeGarbo, David Baca, and Jim Brunelli.
Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Glorioso, Al Bonato, Cordell Herrera, and Teddy Sakariason.
Arrangements made under the direction of Comi Funeral Home.
