Graciano Vidal Sena Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with his two daughters by his side. He was born on April 18, 1944, in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Graciano Sena Sr and Cipriana Jaramillo-Sena. Graciano, better known as “JR” moved from Las Vegas, NM to Lamar, CO., where he began working in the onion fields at a very young age. Followed by farming, then on to driving the activities bus for Lamar, CO School District. In 1992, JR moved his family to Raton, New Mexico, where he began his own self-employment. He was always busy painting, roofing, and flooring, but his love was landscaping. He was always willing to help the elderly community in Raton and the surrounding areas. JR was extremely proud of his kids and grandkids. One thing is for sure if he knew you, he definitely had a nickname for you. JR enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking his famous green chile. BBQing, fishing, or enjoying a cold one. Jr was a die-hard Chicago Bears Fan!

Brothers Juan (Judy), Gilbert (Edwina), Eugenio (Eva), Frank, and Rodger. Sisters Jesus Sena, Sarah (Joe) Duran, Adella (Claudio) Jaramillo, Catalina (Max) Chacon, Marylou (Sam) Karr, and Corina (Ben) Vigil.
Graciano is survived by Mary A. Sena. Daughters Delores Gonzales, Sara, and Son-N-Law Matt Duran Sr., who was more like a son to him, all of Raton, New Mexico.
