Carolina Apodaca was found alive on Saturday, May 18th just after 8:00 p.m.
Good news was received by the community of Raton with the safe return of missing teenager Carolina Apodaca.
The 18 year-old was reported missing on Wednesday, May 14 and was found walking along Highway 72 on Saturday evening, May 18 at about 8 p.m. Carolina was found by a local concerned citizen who had been driving back and forth on the road and noticed a young girl walking and pulled over to ask if help was needed. After it was determined to be Carolina Apodaca, she was examined for any physical problems and is under further evaluation.
The daughter of Dom and Bernadette Apodaca, Dom wanted the community and surrounding area to know how much the family appreciates the huge amount of help and support offered to them. There were dozens of calls, texts and concerned, sincere visits, plus people distributing flyers, info and joining in the search parties and most of all sent prayers.
Apodaca said what an awesome community we live in and first gave thanks to God for his mercy and for answered prayers and also thanked the Colfax County Sheriff’s Dept, the NM State Police, the NM Dept of Public Safety and the Raton Police Dept.
