Ratsville Roundup Success

Raton saw its 1st annual Ratsville Roundup on April 26th.  Older style cars, trucks, and motorcycles lined up for citizens  to view and vote on their favorites.  The Roundup had much to enjoy such as Lil Rascals Rockabilly Rumble, a pin-up meet,  Burlesque class and show, a sock hop, and live music by local band PFGOT.    Even with not so ideal weather the community and entry turnout was great.  With 37 entries and a packed house for the Burlesque show, this women ran event called it a hit and looks forward to next year!  The trophy winners for the car show were:

30’s-40’s:  Sam Blea, 1933 Ford three window coupe

50’s-60’s:  Pat Vigil, 1965 Chevy truck

Muscle Car:  Brent Hall, 1969 Camaro
