Blood Moon/Super Moon Total Eclipse Viewing

Ranger Pat Walsh of Sugarite Canyon State Park will facilitate a special viewing in town of the Blood Moon/Super Moon Total Eclipse this Sunday, September 27th 7 pm -9 pm. Ranger Pat will bring telescopes and binoculars to the south side of Russell Marcy Academy (formerly Raton Middle School).
The last time that there was a total eclipse of a Super Moon was in 1982. A Blood Moon will display a burnt-red, orange color. This moon is also a Harvest Moon (the full moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox).
