A Midsummer Night’s Dream~ SFTSPA Professional Summer Season
July 16, 2015 - July 19, 2015
Santa Fe Trail School for the Performing Arts continues its Professional Summer Season at the historic Shuler Theater with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, William Shakespeare’s most magical comedy about love. The professional production, directed by Dan Lendziam, will be presented Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 16th-18th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, July 19th at 2:30 pm.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a comedy play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written between 1590 and 1597. It portrays the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta. These include the adventures of four young Athenians and a group of six amateur actors who are manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set.
As Bill Fegan says, “See you at the Shuler. . .for Shakespeare’s rumpus comedy!”
