Helen P. Cordova age 74, of Cimarron, NM, passed away Monday April 28, 2014 in Lucero, NM. She was born June 17, 1939 in Cimarron, NM, the daughter of Charlie and Clara Coca-Sanchez. Helen was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cimarron and was a cook for the public school system for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Carlos, Louie, and William Sanchez, and one sister Viola Bauler. She is survived by her husband, Manuel of the home, daughter Kathy Thames of Cimarron, NM, son Alex Cordova of Cimarron, NM, sister Lorraine Quintana and husband Lencho of Las Vegas, NM, brother Julian Sanchez and wife Dolores of Cimarron, NM, four grandchildren, Michelle Hammitt and husband Preston of Las Cruces, NM, Alex Cordova Jr. of Trinidad, CO, Dakota Cordova of Las Cruces, NM, and Breanna Cordova of Cimarron, NM, and four great grandchildren, A.J. Hammitt, Kaitlyn Hammitt, Evy Cordova and Daniel Trujillo.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Friday May 2, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cimarron recited by Fabiola Gonzales. Mass of the Resurrection will be Saturday May 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church with Father Emmanuel Izuka as the celebrant. Rite of Christian Burial will be in the Cimarron Cemetery.
