The purpose of the New Mexico Concealed Handgun Carry Act (NMCHCA) course, is to educate the New Mexico Citizen of the legal aspects within New Mexico State Law, involving the carrying of a concealed handgun. It also involves training in the consistent, efficient, and safe use of a handgun. This course focuses on Violence as a Means of Last Resort, with the defense of ourselves and our loved ones as part of an overall lifestyle change.
NMCHCA Course will cover:
Classroom Instruction:
o Federal, State, local laws
o Introduction
o Defensive Posture
o Fundamentals of Defensive Marksmanship
o 3-Position Presentation Technique
Static Fire Drills
Qualification*
What you will need: (a detailed list will be sent with Course Welcome letter)
· Sidearm, .32cal or larger (semi-automatic or revolver)
· 2 magazines/speed loader minimum
· 150 rounds ammunition (25rds extra for each handgun qualifying with)
No Handloaded Ammunition Accepted
· Holster
· Sturdy Belt
· Eye/Ear Protection
· Sunscreen/Bug spray
· Water Bottle/Container
