Louis F. Padilla went to be with the Lord on February 9th, 2014, in Raton, New Mexico. He was born August 19th 1925 in Raton, New Mexico, the son of Alex Padilla and Virginia Atencio. He was a lifetime member of St. Patrick, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was a member of Local 7949 UMWA.
He is survived by his sister in law LaLa Casados from Pueblo, CO. Sons, Patrick (Jonallyn) Padilla, Joseph (Valerie) Padilla, Richard (Darla) Padilla, Michael (Kelly) Padilla, Alex (Audrey) Padilla, Gilbert (Shelby) Padilla. Daughters, Irene (Victor) Vigil, Frances (Richard) Cardenas, Virginia (David) Martinez, Anna (Tim) Wehrle, Julie (Tim) Valdez. Son-in-law Mike Smith of Taos. 50 Grandchildren, 40 Great grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will take place Friday February 14, 2014 at 9:30am at St. Patrick-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by the Carmelitas. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 with Father John Trambley as the celebrant. Rite of committal and interment will take place at Mt. Cavalry Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Diabetic Association in Honor of Louis F. Padilla.
