Notice of Public Meeting
The Raton Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public meeting on June 12, 2019 in the Raton City Commission meeting room, at 6:00 p.m.
The following items will be discussed and the public can give comments on each.
1. Consideration of Variance Request by John and Susan Martin to reduce side setback distance from 8 feet to 1.5 feet at the North Tract Boundary and from 8 feet to 5.0 feet at the South Tract Boundary. Property is described as Lots 21, 22, and 23; Block 12 of the Brilliant Addition, and is located at 1419 South Fifth Street. Property is zoned RM-1 Multi-Family Residential district.
2. Consideration of Request for Rezoning by William M. and Carla C. Serazio to change zone from C-4 Rural Commercial district to H-I Heavy Industrial district. Property is described as a 10.333 acre parcel situated in Section 2, Township 30 North, Range 23 East NMPM, located north of NM State Highway 555, east of the railroad tracks and west of Coal Street.
3. Consideration of Request for Rezoning by Raton City Manager. Property to be rezoned is a tract of land described as Lots 17 through 20, Block 16 of Fairview Addition; consisting of 3.70 acres more or less. It is located on the corner of Woodrow Avenue and Arnold Street. The parcel is owned by Mark Pena, zoning is proposed to change from MHS Mobile Home Subdivision district to R-5 Residential district.
